FILE SIZES

Definition:

A file size is the measure of space a file takes on a storage medium such as a computer hard drive. File sizes can be measured in bytes (B), kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), terabytes (TB), and beyond.

For example:



  • File system is used to control how the data is stored and retrieved.
  • The main purpose of file system is used to place the information in storage medium would be one large body of data.
  • We cannot say that where the information starts and stops.
